As dirt and soap swirl down the drain
Cautious steps tap their way through puddles
Until I’m resting in shared heat
Pink blotches dance upon shy skin
Cheeks are flushed and I feel so tired
Fast paced city, here I see your slow beauty
Hot water calming my anxious heart
I’m surrounded by kind women
Their gentle skin is lined with stories
And yet, they ask for mine
